As per highly placed sources, CRICKET AGE can confirm the news that Sanath Jayasuriya will have to resign, otherwise he will be sacked as chief selector of Sri Lanka, after the Champions trophy.

It is due to an controversy, related to Jayasuriya recently, but CRICKET AGE don’t want to write on that, which has not been gone well with the board.

A highly placed source from the SLC told CRICKET AGE that board is in no mood to keep Jayasuriya on his post, after the controversy. Currently, the national team is in England to participate in the Champions trophy, so it is not the right time to take action. But as soon as the tournament will be over, Jayasuriya will have to go. That’s why, board didn’t send him England with the team. again, CRICKET AGE learnt that Jayasuriya is in Dubai currently.
