A big score is due for Viral Kohli

Written by Pushpendra Albe

Die hard fans are not used to see their super star, the world’s best batsman in all three formats Virat Kohli making below par scores for. Much long. So, everyone is expecting a big score from Kohli in the Ranchi test, as batsman is going through a lean patch in the ongoing test series against Australia.

Kohli has so far registered scores of 0 & 13 in the first Test at Pune and 12 & 15 in the second Test in Bengaluru. Although Kohli can argue that he was unlucky to be given out to acontentious LBW decision in the second innings at Bengaluru, he can’t deny the fact that he has failed to deliver in the biggest series of the home season so far.

Kohli came into this series on the back of a great run of form in Test cricket, having scored a double century in each of the last 4 Test series. Except the early dismissal in the first innings at Pune, where he edged one behind the wicket while chasing a wide delivery, Kohli has not looked out of sorts and it is just about spending some time in the middle for the Indian captain.
