Ron Chandraguptha to debut against Bangladesh?

Ron Chandraguptha, a proud product of the prestigious Trinity College, could make his debut in the test series against Bangladesh next month. A composed left-handed batsman, Chandraguptha has been a part of Board president XI in the ongoing practice match against England Lions. In that match, he scored 48 runs in the first innings, followed by 91 runs in the second.

In both the innings, with his sound technique, and temperament, he impressed Chief selector of the national team sanath jayasuriya as well, Who was at the ground, during the second day of the match, yesterday.

He also named in the squad for the entire series against England Lions, and good performances in these matches will surely put him on the brink of a test debut, against Bangladesh next month, especially when the national team’s openers, Kaushal Silva and Dimuth karunaratne, are continuesly struggling with the bat. Interestingly, Dimuth has also been included in the squad against England Lions. so, message is clear from the selectors- whoever will show good performances in these unofficial test matches, Will be selected against Bangladesh.
