Inclement weather has forced Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to push back it’s domestic 50-overs tournament to June 27, Cricket Age reliably learns.

The domestic 50-overs tournament was originally scheduled to kick off from June 15.

“Due to the persistent rain, we have taken this decision. Accordingly, We will be starting it on the 27th June and will complete before the Lanka Premier League (LPL)” a top SLC official told Cricket Age.

Earlier this month, Inclement weather forced SLC to to replay all the matches affected by bad weather and ended in a no-result in the ongoing SLC Major T20 inter-club tournament. Saracens SC and Army SC consolidated their positions at the top of Group A and Group D with facile victories in the rescheduled matches.
