Following images of him endorsing a casino brand appearing on social media outlets, Sachin Tendulkar issues a strong statement on Twitter and called the images morphed. The legendary Indian cricketer declared that he will take legal action against the casino for using the edited images but claimed it was important to share the information with everyone.

Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers and sportspersons to have ever played the game and is involved in commercial activities with various brands. However, the 48-year-old stated that he has never endorsed a company that is involved in gambling, tobacco, and alcohol. He further expressed his pain at seeing his image being used to promote an activity like gambling.

Taking to Twitter, Sachin issued a statement with a caption saying, “Requesting everyone to remain vigilant about misleading images on social media.”  In his statement, he wrote, “It has come to my notice that there are multiple ads being shown on social media platforms, with a morphed photo showing me endorsing a casino.”

“I have never endorsed gambling, tobacco or alcohol – directly or indirectly, in an individual capacity. It pains to see that my images are being used to mislead people,” added Tendulkar.

“While my legal team will be taking the required action, I felt it was important for me to share this information with everyone,” concluded the Indian batting legend.
