In a mysterious turn of events, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has transferred HR Executive Oshini Samarawickrama to High Performance Centre at Khetterama, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Oshini, a professional lawyer, was attached at HR department under the recently appointed HR Manager Tanesh Dias.

According to sources, on Wednesday, Oshini was suddenly told to report to work at Khetterama, without giving any reason for transferring her from the SLC headquarter Maitland Place.

When Cricket Age inquired the matter, it learnt that few days ago former incompetent SLC CEO Jerome Jayaratne didn’t allow Oshini and another lady employee Sarindi to go to Pallekele for match duty, as a punishment for not completing their assignments on time! Since then, Oshini was facing the heat at SLC. Things turned ugly, when Oshini couldn’t cope with Tanesh Dias, that eventually, paved the way for her transfer.

“She was efficient in her work as she is a professional lawyer. After the departure of Former HR Manager Dananjaya Wijesinghe, she single handedly took over the department” a SLC insider told Cricket Age.

According to sources, transferring someone to Khetterama is a sign of punishment. Over the years, SLC has made it a habit to transferring those to Khetterama, with whom top officials don’t feel comfortable!

“Today morning, she was hospitalized, due to the overdose of medicines following her transfer” the insider added further.

Interestingly, few weeks ago, SLC had suddenly sacked a confidential secretary Dushyanthi as well, in same sort of mysterious circumstances.
