Sri Lanka’s World Cup theme song to be launched today

A theme song for Sri Lanka’s World Cup campaign to be launched at the Sports Ministry today, Cricket Age reliably learns. Initiated by the Sports Ministry, the theme song has reportedly cost 6 million rupees and to be launched by Sports Minister Harin Fernando.

Sri Lanka team to inter into the world cup as 9th ODI ranked team, with only Afghanistan are behind. Test opener Dimuth Karunaratne has been named Captain for the mega event and both Sports Ministry and Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) have the belief that the team, coached by million dollars paid coach Chandika Hathurasingha, has the capacity to qualify for the semifinals.

“In the guidance of honorable Sports Minister Harin Fernando, the ministry has initiated the theme song, as we believes in our team led by Dimuth Karunaratne” a top official of Sports Ministry told Cricket Age.

Sri Lanka to begin their World Cup campaign against New Zealand on June 1, 2019.
