No Place For Arjun Tendulkar in Mumbai Ranji Trophy Pre-season Camp

Written by Shreyas Vyas

Arjun Tendulkar, Son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar, has not been called to the pre-season camp of Mumbai Ranji Trophy team. The pacer was expected to make the cut after his heroics in the junior cricketing events. It comes as a big surprise as he was able to get the attention of junior team selectors but hasn’t been given a chance in the state team.

Not being called to the camp doesn’t mean that he will not be eligible to play for the team during the next season but he will miss out on the preparations with the senior members of the team who are a part of the camp.

In U-19 cricket for India, he will be spearheading the pace attack in the two four-day matches that will be played next month in Sri Lanka. He has not been named in the five-match one-day series as he will not be eligible to play next U-19 World Cup due to his age.
