Sumathipala Camp gathers Clubs To Urge CA For SLC Election

Thilanga Sumathipala, the former President Of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), and his team have gathered their Supporters Clubs to Urge The Competent Authority to conduct board election at earliest, Cricket Age reliably learns.

On May 30th, a day before proposed SLC election, The Court of Appeal gave a stay order, that resulted Sumathipala Led administration’s ouster in embarrassing way.

After that, Sports Minister Faizer Mustapha took over the SLC under his control and appointed a Competent Authority to run the board.

However, on June 4, a letter, signed by all the supportive clubs of Sumathipala, was given to Competent Authority. In the letter, members of the Cricket Club have urged Competent Authority to Conduct the election at earliest.
