The home series against India turned out as a disaster for South Africa, largely due to depleted playing XI in most of the matches of three different formats series. South Africa managed to won the test series with some impressive performances of fast bowlers. However, in ODI and T20 Series, they were outplayed by the Indians under the aggressive captaincy of Virat Kohli.
