K. Mathivanan, the controversial Vice president of Sri Lanka cricket board (SLC) has been drafted as incharge of International cricket after entirely ruining domestic cricket. However, after more than two months his profile changed, he is still destroying domestic cricket in every possible way.

Cricket Age has reliably learns that the power hungry Mathivanan has surely decided to change the priorities of the SLC, even without the knowledge of the president Thilanga Sumathipala .

It seems Mathivanan is more interested in supporting his close associates to get their pockets overflowing. earlier also Mathivanan protected all his close associates from Panadura match fixing drama, even after Sports Ministry has sent final report and declared some top SLC officials as Prime culprits.

According to sources, Last week Mathivanan had approved approximately rupees 18 million for Nidahas trophy tamashas, but has rejected a proposal to spend small amount of 1.5 million for a islandwide coaching camp under a foreign coach proposed by formed secretary and now Vice President Mohan de Silva.

According to sources, this Nationwide Coaching camp could have done wonders for the younger crop, especially to the players from outstations and rural areas. It was a good plan, was outlined by Garry Palmer, Who is the current England A team coach. However, Mathivanan firmly objected it and eventually rejected.

Inside sources say Mathivanan is dominating all proceedings at SLC and doesn’t even give any attention to the opinion of other office bearers, and specially Mohan de Silva, who is more senior to him as a former President.

Sources says Sumathipala better take attention soon before Mathivanan destroys all the priorities of SLC with his power driven ambitions.
