SLC High Performance Coaches left With No Assignment!

After the Impending Resignation of Simon Willis, SLC high Performance manager, More than a dozen Coaches under him have been left with no assignment at the moment, Cricket Age reliably learns.

SLC has Hashan Tillakaratne, Roy Dias, Raveendra Pushpakumara, Avishka Gunawardane, Chamila Gamage, Piyal Wijethunge, Oshadee weerasinghe, Hemantha Devapriya, Sumitra Warnakulasuriya, Upul Chandana, Chaminda Vaas, T.Gamage, Ajit Ekanayake, Nick Pothas, Nuwan Gunawardane, Manoj Abeywickrama, and Nuwan Zoysa.

Apart from that, Lanka De silva, Sunil Fernando (as Talent Managers cum coaches) and Anura Tennakoon (as Talent Manager) are also associated with high performance centre.

According to sources, The Salary of these high performance coaches is in the range of 2-7 Lakhs.

However, no pool of players (Either from the national, A, Emerging teams or from domestic, U19) are practicing at Khetterama, where the High Performance centre has been established.

In this scenario, All the coaches are left with no assignment. So, apart from doing commentary in premier league tournament, they gathers at Khetterama daily and sits here and there entire day.

“No training is going on these days, and National Squad will start the preparation from next week. So, it’s all about spending free time. Few Coaches comes early just only to get a place to sit, otherwise they had to stay in the eating room entire day and taking nap at office desk after lunch” a Source told Cricket Age.
