Kevin Koththigoda : Newest Bowling Sensation from Sri Lanka

Over the years, Sri Lanka Cricket have blessed with some of the most Unorthodox Cricketers, World Cricket has even seen. Murali was Unmatched, Ajantha Mendis menaced Batsmen around the globe, and Lasith Malinga is a freak!

Now, it seems Sri Lanka have just unearthed another Unorthodox Bowling Sensation.

Kevin Koththigoda made his U19 debut today, during the match against Afghanistan in U19 Asia Cup. Though, he did nothing extraordinary, picked just one wicket, of Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran in his eight overs.

However, it is his bowling action that caught the attention of Cricket Fraternity immediately. With an unusual action, he bowls like Former South African Chinaman Paul Adams.

A proud product of Mahinda College, Galle, he first announced himself during the last year Murali Harmony Cup. he was a key member of the Mahinda college winning team of the Harmony Cup in the North last year. Harmony Cup is an initiative of the Foundation of Goodness, pioneered by the legendary cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene.
