The Sri Lanka Cricket team will travel to Pakistan for the third t20 match of the series, at the end of this month, SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala told the BBC Sinhala.

“The tour may change only if there is a dramatic change in the security situation in the Pakistan” Sumathipala further stated. The match is scheduled on 29th October, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

There are reports that many current Sri Lanka players don’t want to play in Pakistan, but Sumathipala completely denied this by stating that players didn’t not rise objection.

“Not current players, but some former players are spreading such things” he said.

No international team, except for Zimbabwe, has played international match in Pakistan, since the terrorist attack in 2009. Though, a World XI team played a three t20 match series in September.
