After defeated in IPL final, here is another bad news for MS Dhoni

Written by Shreyas Vyas

Team India’s coach Anil Kumble with captain Virat Kohli on Sunday demanded a huge increase of 150 percent for Grade A players, mentioned in the Central Contracts and also want a considerable increase for the support staff.

Kohli and coach Anil Kumble have suggested a three-tier payment system where the Test players are supposed to be paid more than the ODI and T20I players. This move could particularly hurt MS Dhoni’s pay structure as he’s retired from the Test format and only plays in limited overs.

The BCCI’s SGM will discuss the new proposal on May 26. Under the prevailing payment model, the Grade A players get Rs 2 crore, Grade B players are entitled to receive Rs 1 crore and Grade C are offered Rs 50 lakhs.
