Yuvraj Singh might find it difficult to be selected for Champions trophy

Written by Shreyas Vyas

Even as he enjoys enormous support from team India’s skipper Virat Kohli, road to champions trophy for Yuvraj Singh is looking too difficult.

In the ongoing IPL, barring a 62 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman has failed to get past 26 in any of the remaining six innings.

In the T20 Internationals for India, Yuvraj has not been able to score more than 35 in any of the games he has played since 2016. His last fifty in T20Is came in 2014.

Even if Yuvraj gets selected, he will find rather difficult to get a place in playing XI, as there are stiff competition for each batting position in team.

Yuvraj normaly bats at number five or six in the ODI’s, but emergence of Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav means he has to fight for his place.

All in all, it seems a road too difficult for him to make a strong case for the all important champions trophy.
