Written by Rohit Pawar

Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath becomes the world’s best left-arm spinner. The Ace magician surpassed New Zealand former Daniel Vettori, when he took his 363th wicket against Bangladesh in the first Galle test, by dismissing Litton Das.

He achieved the feat in his 79th test, Including 7 ten wicket and 28 five wicket hauls, in his illustrious career so far.

Eight days away from his 39th birthday, Herath is still the backbone of Sri Lankan attack. Not only the leader of the bowling attack, in the absence of regular captain Angelo Matthews due to injury, he is also leading his country against Bangladesh in the ongoing series.
