Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh continued his impressive run in IPL 2026, crossing the 400-run mark during the clash against the Mumbai Indians in Dharamsala on Thursday. The wicketkeeper-batter reached the milestone in the sixth over, nudging a single off Deepak Chahar.
In doing so, Prabhsimran joined an elite list, becoming only the third uncapped Indian after Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma to register 400-plus runs in multiple IPL seasons.
Coming under scrutiny in recent weeks over his fitness, the Punjab batter responded in style. He played a brisk knock of 57 off 32 balls, smashing six fours and four sixes to provide his side with a strong start before being dismissed by Shardul Thakur in the 12th over.
It was his 5th fifty this season. Prabhsimran is currently Punjab’s leading run scorer this season, amassing 439 runs in 12 games. He has smashed 21 sixes and 48 fours, striking at 170.15.
Prabhsimran Singh has stirred conversation on social media after sharing a cryptic Instagram Story featuring a shush emoji, widely seen as a response to the ongoing chatter around the franchise.
The Punjab Kings opener also posted a shirtless picture amid claims of significant weight gain, which some have linked to the team’s dip in form in IPL 2026.
