Legendary India batter Sunil Gavaskar has spoken about one of his prized possessions. Speaking to Star Sports, Gavaskar has revealed that the shirt he got signed by MS Dhoni in IPL 2023 is kept safely at his home.
In one of the most heartwarming moments in the Indian Premier League 2023, legendary Sunil Gavaskar rushed to meet MS Dhoni after Chennai Super Kings’ final home game of the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Gavaskar interrupted MS Dhoni for a brief moment and got an autograph from the Super Kings captain on Sunday, May 14.
Gavaskar flaunted the signature as he returned for post-match duties with the official television broadcaster of the IPL. The batting legend was thrilled and brought a huge smile on MS Dhoni’s face, who was genuinely surprised by Gavaskar’s touching gesture.
“Ever since I saw MSD playing for the first time, I have been his fan. And what does a fan want? The fan wants to meet his hero and chat with him, try to get his autograph, a photograph as well. The whole team was taking a round around the stadium (Chepauk) because they had to go somewhere else for the knockout games, so I thought this was a good time to take his autograph, because I admire him a lot,” Gavaskar said about MS Dhoni on Star Sports.
