Former England pacer Steven Finn has heaped praise on India spinner Kuldeep Yadav, saying he wrecked havoc and bowled with real skill in Dharamsala. India bowled England out for 218 runs on Day 1 of their fifth and final Test at the HPCA Stadium.

Kuldeep and India’s milestone man Ravichandran Ashwin were on target for the hosts on Day 1, bowling England out for 218 runs. Kuldeep picked up his fourth Test five-wicket haul while Ashwin chipped in with four wickets on his landmark 100th Test match.

“Crawley and Duckett got England off to a good start, reaching 64 for 0, and things were looking serene. They had to negotiate some really good swing bowling – they rode their luck, there were some plays and misses. But you have to do that and it felt as though they had ridden out the toughest part of the day,” said Finn.

He went on to say that Kuldeep wrecked havoc and bowled with real skill to put his team in control. Kuldeep picked five wickets while giving away 72 runs in 15 overs in Dharamsala.

“Kuldeep then wreaked havoc and bowled with real skill. Fundamentally, good bowling has got England out. Kuldeep put his team in a magnificent position through guile, skill and control,” Finn added.
