Sri Lanka politics and politicians offers more entertainment value than TV dramas! So, while barley few hours ago Island’s Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe termed Lanka Premier League (LPL) illegal, his colleague and another cabinet Minister in Ranil Wickramasinghe government Harin Fernado today appeared in VVIP box during franchise league and announced that it will helpful in attracting foreign tourists!

Harin is, at present, Tourism Minister of Sri Lanka! However, he held Sports Minister portfolio earlier as well.

So, obviously, one of the cabinet Minister of Sri Lanka government is telling the lie!

Roshan Ranasinghe, present Sports Minister, has marketed himself as a messiah of revolution But in his quest to achieve his goal as Sports Minister, Rugby and Football have already been banned by respective game’s global bodies! To expose financial irregularities at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), he initiated a comprehensive audit report, focusing on spending during last year’s T20 World Cup in Australia! However, as audit report is in public domain now, Instead of focusing on it, Minister is doing comedy!

Harin Fernado, meanwhile, was a disaster as Sports Minister. He had ended up sitting on International Cricket Council (ICC) lap and converting Sri Lanka a laboratory for Anti Corruption Unit (ACU). Interestingly, during his tenure, legendary Sanath Jayasuriya was banned by the ICC. Now, same Sanath Jayasuriya roam around the world with Harin as Tourism brand ambassador! Recently, Harin met Danuska Gunathilaka, who has been facing a rape trial in Australia!
