Manager accused of taking Sri Lanka Emerging Team’s gifts to home!

Sri Lanka’s Emerging team Manager Vinothen John is accused of taking support staff’s gifts to home, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Vinothen, former Sri Lanka International, recently travelled to Japan as Emerging team Manager.

According to sources, during the tour, gifts (5 whisky bottles etc.) were given to Vinothen for the Sri Lanka Emerging Team’s support staff by the Japan Cricket Association. However, it’s accused that Instead of sharing it among support staff, Vinothen took gifts to his home!

“He is notorious for these sort of things. He gets daily per diem and a monthly salary of 2 lakh. Still, he is famous for not spending per diem and taking stuff from hotels” an Emerging Team support staff told Cricket Age In condition of anonymity.

Despite all these, Vinothen mysteriously remains in good book of SLC top brass. He has been again appointed as manager for Emerging Asia Cup and Asian games in China as well!
