Pakistan captain Babar Azam has said his team is playing really well after their win over New Zealand. Azam smashed an unbeaten half-century as Pakistan beat the Kiwis by 6 wickets in Christchurch.

Speaking after the match, Azam said the team is batting really well. He also mentioned that he, along with opener Mohammad Rizwan planned to utilize the dew.

“We have started well in the batting. Me and Rizwan planned to utilise the first six overs and also the dew,” said Azam.

The winning captain also touched upon Shadab Khan batting at number 4, saying he and Shadab planned their innings together, keeping the dew in mind.

“We have a plan to send him up to charge the bowlers. He played well. Me and Shadab planned that I play all the way and he will go for his shots. Little bit different because of the dew and the ball is coming on nicely on the pitch,” Azam added.

“We are playing very well and as a captain I’m very happy. We assessed the conditions and executed our plans. Our bowlers bowled very well. We have some rest now and we will look forward to that,” said Azam.
