Chandima Mapatuna and Chinthaka Edirimane’s, International and domestic cricket head respectively of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), contracts have been extended for another two years, Cricket Age reliably learns.
The decision was taken during board’s Executive Committee (ExCo) meeting on Monday.
“Both performed exceptionally well in last few months, especially when entire world cricket was reeling under the impact of Covid-19” a top SLC official told Cricket Age.
In last two years, amidst Pandemic threat, Sri Lanka somehow managed to regularly play international and domestic cricket, more frequently than any other cricket board. At International cricket, where most of other boards failed to complete their FTP’s, SLC managed to complete 99% of International commitments. Likewise, In domestic cricket, Sri Lanka managed to stage A-list and National Super League (NSL) tournaments!
