SLC resumes St. Anthony’s College Cricket Ground’ Sprinkles Installation

Written by Rohit Pawar

The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has restarted Sprinkles Installation at St. Anthony’s College Cricket Ground after a brief obstruction, Cricket Age reliably learns.

According to sources, SLC had passed a project worth 7.5 million to install sprinkles at St. Anthony’s College Kandy Cricket Ground. A contractor registered at SLC was given the contract, while Board’s assistant treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda (famous for going after this type of projects as once the Trinity college grounds in Asgiriya also looked after by him) was looking after the project.

“The contractor stopped the project halfway without putting sprinkles, saying they have no enough money to continue” an Insider at St. Anthony’s College told Cricket Age.

However, Monday SLC’s ExCo Janaka Pathirana rushed to the school and promised to finish the Sprinkles Installation within three weeks.

“SLC president Mr. Shammi Silva also visited and instructed concerned authorities to finish the task as soon as possible” the Insider added.
