Jayantha Seneviratne appointed Sri Lanka A Team Manager against Pakistan, Samarwickrama to lead the side

Former First Class cricketer from Bloomfield Jayantha Seneviratne has been appointed Sri Lanka A Team Manager against touring Pakistan, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Seneviratne had served in the same capicity in the past also. It has also learned that former national team Manager Charith Senanayake and Vinothen John were also considered for the post. However, this couldn’t happen due to Charith’s reluctant to enter into the Bio Secure bubble in this pandemic time and Vinothen’s daughter’s wedding.

Sri Lanka national cap Sadeera Samarwickrema will lead the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team against Pakistan ‘A’ in two unofficial Tests and three unofficial ODIs, starting from 28th October.

1st Unofficial Test at Pallekele – 28th to 31st October

2nd Unofficial Test at Pallekele – 4th to 7th November

1st Unofficial ODI at Dambulla – 10th November

2nd Unofficial ODI at Dambulla – 12th November

3rd Unofficial ODI at Dambulla – 15th November
