Mohan de Silva led Admin Committee rejects Tanesh Dias ‘permanent employees’ proposal

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) secretary Mohan de Silva let admin committee recently rejected a bizarre proposal of HR Manager Tanesh Dias recommending to make some board employees permanent, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Mohan de Silva chairs the committee, which also comprise of board CEO Ashley de Silva and Head of Administration Aruna de Silva.

According to the sources, Tanesh, along with assistant treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda, submitted a proposal at the admin committee meeting to make some of the employees permanent. In the proposal, Tanesh had included his name also, along with Godaliyadda’s secretary. However, as there was no basis for the nominations,  the proposal was halted at ExCo.

“Head Of Department (HOD’s) recommendations were not attached with the proposal, so it was rejected during the meeting” an Insider at admin committee told Cricket Age.

At present, SLC awards yearly contracts to most of the employees.
