Sri Lanka Cricket election to be held on May 20

The much anticipated Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) election to choose the office bearers for next two years will be held on May 20, Cricket Age reliably learns.

In January, the SLC had appointed 3 members election committee in accordance with the Sports Law regulations.

“We have been officially informed by the Sports Ministry that the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) Will be taking place on May 20” a top SLC official told Cricket Age.

The candidates will be permitted to file the nominations on February 24, while the election will be held at Sports Ministry’s Duncan White Auditorium on May 20.

In the high stake election, the incumbent president Shammi Silva has already finalized his team! The other camps, however, were waiting for the official announcement of the dates. As it’s confirmed now, other camps are also likely to finalize their candidates.
