“It has been almost two months, when SLC advertised for the post of the Women’s team Coach. However, nothing has been finalized as yet, as certain people’s are backing their favourites” a top official of SLC told Cricket Age.

Mahesh Weerasinghe has been considered as the closest associate of Godfrey Dabrera, who has been in the center of all kind of controversies since India tour last year, when Sri Lanka’s most iconic shorter formats fast bowler Lasith Malinga accused SLC for preparing pitches for the advantage of the visiting team.
