Sachin Tendulkar's Son Arjun's cricket career so far has been both scrutinised and praised from various angles by a lot of people. After the news of Arjun making it to the Under-19 Indian cricket squad for the Sri Lanka tour was announced, it sparked a major debate on Twitter.
While a lot of people are praising Arjun for making it to the team through sheer hard work, there are some who are calling it a classic case of nepotism.
"After Bollywood, Nepotism spreads its wings in sports 😎😎 too #Arjuntendulkar" wrote Nandita Ghosal.
"Name: Tripendra Jethalal Gada
Achievements : Highest run scorer in GPL 1 n 2..
Dad's profession : Common Businessman..
He's rejected n #Arjuntendulkar selected, just coz of his dad...
U can feel for this young lad" wrote Anshuman Mishra.
"#ArjunTendulkar is an average bowler. He runs, and delivers the ball with a weird action. Thanks to his father's recommendations, he is now part of the U-19 squad- and hundreds of more talented bowlers get ignored.
Remember, there was someone called Rohan Gavaskar" wrote Ganeshan Iyer.
