Chamara Silva Asks For Immediate Action Against Match Fixing Accused

Written by Rohit Pawar

Chamara Silva, former Sri Lanka Player, has asked for immediate action against the culprits of Match fixing during the match between Kalutara and Panadura, played in January 2017, Cricket Age reliably learns.

On May 17, Chamara Silva’s lawyer Kalinga Indatissa has sent a letter to Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) and raised some serious allegations.

The letter stated that on 30th December 2017 itself, then Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara had sent the report of inquiry to SLC and ordered to take action according to report.

The inquiry report suggested to withdraw all the allegations against Chamara Silva and other players. Also, report stated that instead the action must be taken against Panadura and Kalutara and ‘certain officials’.

However, even after five months, SLC miserably failed to take any action against Ravin Wickramaratne and other officials.

Few days ago, Chamara Silva also submitted an affidavit against Ravin Wickramaratne and labeled him as main culprit.
