Virat Kohli To Miss County Stint Due to Injury

Indian captain Virat Kohli, is set to miss the county stint with Surrey at the Oval after he has been diagnosed with a slipped disc.

“Yes it is unfortunately true and thankfully it has been diagnosed in time and Kohli won’t need a surgery. Hopefully the rest ahead of the England series, now that he won’t be playing all the county games he was set to play, will help him recover in time for national duty” A Senior BCCI Official Told.

Earlier, it was reported by the Mumbai Mirror that Kohli’s problem has been diagnosed by one of the best orthopaedic surgeons in Mumbai, who has advised him rest.

Kohli had opted to play county cricket to get used to the different conditions before the start of the Test series. Kohli had in fact signed up with Surrey for the month of June and was all set to skip the historic first Test match for Afghanistan which is in June.
