Roshen Silva to debut for Sri Lanka in third test

Sri Lanka Middle Order batsman Roshen Silva is all Set to make his international debut in the third test against India at Delhi, starting from today.

Silva, 29, is a gritty batsman and one of the most consistent performer in the Sri Lanka domestic cricket.

A typical test match player, he has been Sri Lanka most consistent domestic batsman for six or seven years. He got Maiden call up for the national team during the historical home test series against Australia in 2016, but couldn’t make it to playing XI.

In recent months he has been in purple form with the bat, and was the second highest run scorer for Sri Lanka A against West Indies A recently. His first class average of 48 is the second best for Sri Lanka in domestic cricket after test captain Dinesh Chandimal.
