Chandimal to be dropped from India ODI Series

Sri Lanka test captain Dinesh Chandimal to be dropped from the ODI squad for the three match series against India, Cricket Age learns.

Chandimal, who has been in good form in the ongoing test series, Will instead lead the Sri Lanka team in the T20 league in UAE.

The T10 Cricket League to be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from December 14 to 17, in the same week when Sri Lanka national team to play three match ODI Series against India.

Chandimal was the part of Sri Lanka ODI team against Pakistan in UAE, and played all five matches. However, he couldn’t impress with his batting, as he managed only 41 runs in five innings with an ordinary average of 8. moreover, his strike rate was below par throughout the series and his slow batting derailed Sri Lanka progress in middle overs.

The first ODI will be played on 10th December at Dharamsala, while second and third match will take place on 13th and 17th December.
