Hathurusingha meets Sumathipala, seek help to bail him out from BCB

Bangladesh High profile Coach Chandika Hathurusingha reached at SLC headquarter around 8 PM on Tuesday, where he met with the board President Thilanga Sumathipala and two other top officials and had a long discussion with them. during three hours long discussion, Hathurusingha requested Sumathipala to help him bail out from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Cricket Age learns.

Amidst all the speculations, Former Sri Lanka player and Current Bangladesh Coach Chandika Hathurusingha arrived in Colombo yesterday. He came directly from Australia, where he is living with his family. After arriving Colombo, he didn’t waste too much time and straightaway went to SLC headquarter to meet Thilanga Sumathipala.

According to sources the request he made to Sumathipala, because he is still officially the Coach of Bangladesh. Even though he has tendered his resignation a month ago, the BCB hasn’t officially accepted it. Though, the BCB President Nazmul Hassan made it clear on Monday that they are not waiting for Hathurusingha anymore, but board hasn’t officially announced the departure of their Coach.

During the three hour long discussion, only SLC President K. Mathivanan and CEO Ashley De Silva were present there.

Hathurusingha has played 26 tests and 35 ODI’s for Sri Lanka. But, he is a universally well-Known as a innovative and forward Thinking Coach. He has associated as a Shadow Coach with Sri Lanka team, during Kumar Sangakkara tenure as the captain.

Under his supervision, Bangladesh has become one of the most competitive team in the world m, especially on their home soil.
