Hathurusingha Arrives in Sri Lanka

Amidst all the speculations, Former Sri Lanka player and Current Bangladesh Coach Chandika Hathurusingha has arrived in Colombo and straightaway went to SLC to meet it’s President Thilanga Sumathipala, Cricket Age learns.

Hathurusingha reached at SLC headquarter around 8 PM on Tuesday, met with Sumathipala and had a long discussion.

Cricket Age published yesterday itself that Hathurusingha is all set to take over as the Next Head Coach of Sri Lanka and Current Interim Coach Nic Pothas will be back to his previous post of fielding Coach.

Hathurusingha has played 26 tests and 35 ODI’s for Sri Lanka. But, he is a universally well-Known as a innovative and forward Thinking Coach. He has associated as a Shadow Coach with Sri Lanka team, during Kumar Sangakkara tenure as the captain.

Under his supervision, Bangladesh has become one of the most competitive team in the world, especially on their home soil.

Hathurusinghe arrived from Australia, and he has not visited Bangladesh since October. Yesterday, BCB president also made it clear that they are not waiting for Hathurusingha anymore!
