Written by Shreyas Vyas

Team India’s rising allrounder Hardik Pandya has been withdrawn from the test squad against Sri Lanka for the three match series, due to heavy workload in recent months, the BCCI said on Friday.

Surprisingly, he was named in India’s squad for the first two tests, and moreover Selectors haven’t named his replacement yet.

“the selectors in consultation with the team management has decided to rest Hardik Pandya” BCCI said in a statement

The 24-year old allrounder has been playing non stop cricket in all three formats since the Champions trophy.

After playing the first Test in Kolkata from November 16-20, the teams move to Nagpur for the second, which starts on November 24. The final Test will be played in Delhi between December 2-6.
