Sri Lanka A create history, win the test series 2-1 against West Indies A

Sehan Jayasuriya and Malinda Pushpkumara rattled West Indies A in the Third day of third Four-day test here at Sabina Park, Kingston Jamaica, as Sri Lanka A created history by winning the test series 2-1 today.

Sri Lanka started from their overnight score of  132/3 and declared at 273/9. Captain Dhananjaya De Silva carried his superlative form in the last innings of the series as well,  as he strucked well composed 64.

As Sri Lanka A took the decisive first innings lead of 92, In the second innings West Indies A bundled out for paltry 118 in 37.3 overs, as Shehan Jayasuriya took 6 wickets for 60 runs in 17 overs. He was ably supported by Pushpkumara who bagged 4 wickets.

Chasing 27 runs to win the series, Sri Lanka A achieved the target in 5.5 overs and Openers Ron Chandragupta (3) and Nipun Karunanayake (17) remained unbeaten.

Shehan Jayasuriya was named man of the match for his allround show in the match.
