Kusal Perera ruled out of Pakistan T20s

Sri Lanka dashing left-handed batsman Kusal Perera has been ruled out of the Three Match T20 Series against Pakistan after failing the fitness test yesterday.

Perera went through the test in Colombo yesterday, but couldn’t prove match fitness. He hasn’t played for Sri Lanka since aggravated hamstring injury during Champions Trophy, but selectors were considering him to captain the t20 team against Pakistan, after the withdrawal of several high profile players. Now, he will be hoping to make a comeback into the side for the Indian tour.

As the Scenario at SLC changing every minute and almost all the too players have withdrawn from the T20 Series, Allrounder Thisara Perera has tipped to captain the side. He had recently played in Pakistan for the World XI team and was the most successful player from his team in the three match series.

According to sources Dilshan Munaveera, Danushka Gunathilika, Dasun Shanaka, Isuru Udana, Lahiru Gamage, Shehan Jayasuriya, Milinda Siriwardena, Sachith Senanayake, Lakshan Sandakan, Seekuge Prasanna, Wannindu Hasaranga and Niroshan Dickwela have also agreed to play in the series.

The three match series will be starting from 26th October, while the third match will be played on 29th October at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
