Legendary Mahela Jayawardene seems not happy with the verdict of domestic match Kalutara-Panadura, in which Former player Chamara Silva has been suspended for two years.

Mahela expressed his angerness on the social site Twitter, as he questioned the logic behind Silva’s suspension.

“How is this fair.. the guy walks away from fixing gets two years. Ones who are involved gets one year? Coaches who was involved should 1/2” Mahela wrote on his twitter handle.

Mahela, even hailed Chamara Silva as one of the most honest player he ever played with, when a Sri Lankan fan questioned about his ethics.

“@MahelaJay Deals galore in our Mother #SriLanka in every sphere of life. Won’t be surprised if Chamara has cut a deal to set for life” asked a user.

“Don’t agree.. one of the most honest guys I played cricket with. Hope the truth will come out” he replied.

Silva, a former international for Sri Lanka, interestingly reported sick for third day’s play during which the suspicious activities happened.

The SLC also suspended all other players and coaches from both the teams from all Cricket related activities.
