When Girls carried drinks for cricketers in 4th ODI

Written by Toshi Pawar

In cricket, we used to see extra players of the particular match come usually on the field with drinks during a break to serve drinks to their teammates who are batting or fielding in the match. This is a norm in all three formats of the game.

But, during the ongoing ODI series SLC invented a new trend, it seems!  In the 4th ODI between Sri Lanka and India at R. Premdasa, a couple of girls made their way to the ground and were helping the players with drinks and napkins.

The incident happened during the second innings when team India were fielding. When umpires called for the mandatory drinks break after the first hour, The reserve players Ajinkya Rahane and Yuzvendra Chahal brought the drinks for their mates but along with them few girls also strode out.

It was so unexpected, that Even the Indian players appeared to be surprised. Even as they used so much of the ultra glamours IPL, this was a first for Indian players also. They surprisingly looked around, and then focused again on the game! Even in the pic, we can see how surprisingly Indian players, including Captain Virat Kohli, are looking towards unexpected entry on the ground!
