Dimuth Karunaratne Set To Return Against Bangladesh A

In order to get prepared for much-awaited Home Series against South Africa Next Month, Sri Lanka’s Test Opener Dimuth Karunaratne is set to return to the competitive cricket for the three four-day matches against Bangladesh A, Cricket Age reliably learns.

A dashing left-hander, Dimuth had been left out of Sri Lanka touring party for ongoing three test match series against West Indies after failing to recover from a finger injury.

The 30-year old, who has scored 3,186 Runs in 49 tests so far, fractured a finger during a net session last month, while preparing for a domestic tournament.

Dimuth has been Sri Lanka’s leading Test run scorer in last years. Between 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2017, he scored 1529 runs, including 1 Man of the match and 2 Man Of The Series awards. in that period). He was also the highest scorer, when Sri Lanka whitewashed West Indies in 2015 Test series.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ team will travel to Bangladesh during this month to take part in three four day games and three one day games. The team will depart to Bangladesh on the 23rd June, 2018 for the month long tour.

17 July : 1st ODI, Venue – Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet

19 July : 2nd ODI, Venue – Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet

22 July : 3rd ODI, Venue – Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet
