Rohit Sharma has left all the fans worrying after he was seen limping off the field during Mumbai Indians match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The opening batter was forced to retire after he appeared to tweak his hamstring which sparked immediate fitness concern.

After the match, Rohit also missed MI’s practice session which further raised concerns about his availability. He is unlikely to play in next match against Punjab Kings which is scheduled to be held on April 16. The medical scans have provided some relief and there is no major tear in the hamstring.

The scans which were conducted after the match did not cause any serious damage. The injury is still being treated closely and it is believed that the injury is expected to be a strain rather than a tear.

Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten at the score of 19 before he retired hurt, the opening batter did not look settled on the crease since the very start of the match. If Rohit Sharma misses the next match it will be a big challenge for MI to fill his spot as the team is already struggling to win and maintain consistency.
