Kuldeep Yadav found support from Yuzvendra Chahal after the India spinner’s horror show during the second ODI against New Zealand in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 14. Kuldeep, who was looked at as the main wicket-taking option for India during the New Zealand series, has struggled to make an impact in the ongoing series.

In two matches so far, Kuldeep has picked up just two wickets, while conceding a total of 134 runs in 19 overs with an average of 67. During the match in Rajkot, the spinner conceded 82 runs in his 10 overs with Will Young and Daryl Mitchell taking him apart during his spell.

Despite the poor performance so far, Chahal came to the rescue of Kuldeep on social media. In a heartwarming post on X, he called Kuldeep as the best spinner in the whole world in all three formats of the game.

“Kuldeep Yadav is no.1 SPINNER in whole WORLD! #Champion #AnyFormat @imkuldeep18,” said Chahal on X.

Chahal and Kuldeep formed a deadly combo in ODIs, where they played 70 matches together and picked a total of 130 wickets between them. Kuldeep led the way with 70 scalps to his name and Chahal got 60.
