After his selection for India’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad, Ishan Kishan will be leading Jharkhand in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kumar Kushagra will serve as Kishan’s deputy during the tournament, which will start on Wednesday, December 24.
Jharkhand will be starting their campaign against Karnataka in Ahmedabad. The reigning Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy holders have named a strong squad, which includes Robin Minz, Anukul Roy, Virat Singh and Abhinav Sharan.
Kishan had to wait for two years before he was recalled to the India squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. During this time, the 27-year-old went back to the domestic circuit and made a strong impact. Kishan came to the fore for Jharkhand during the recently-concluded SMAT campaign as he emerged as the highest run-getter in the tournament.
