Rohit Sharma retains spot as No.1 ranked ODI batter, Virat Kohli jumps to fifth

The Pakistan cricket team rises again in the ICC ODI Rankings after their excellent performance in the South Africa series. Pakistan jumped to the fourth position in the latest ICC ODI Rankings; they surpassed Sri Lanka and now will be targeting Australia’s third spot. Virat Kohli also jumps to fifth spot in ICC Men’s Batting Rankings with a rating of 725.

Meanwhile, the former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma still holds the No.1 spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings. Rohit played exceptional cricket in the India vs Australia ODI series, he made such significant jump in standings after his heroic knock of 121* (125) in Sydney.

As of now, Rohit Sharma is the No.1 ODI batter; he holds the top spot in the latest ICC ODI Batting Rankings with an impressive rating of 781 at the age of 38. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s star bowler Rashid Khan and all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai hold top positions in the Bowling and All-rounder rankings.

There are six Indian players in the ICC ODI Players Rankings, of which 4 are in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings and one each in the Bowling and All-Rounders Rankings. It is the largest number of players by any nation in the ICC Rankings. Indian players are doing exceptional jobs in international cricket.

Babar Azam is the only player from the Pakistan side who is in the top 10 list, including all three departments. Currently, Babar slips to the 7th position from 5th spot in the latest ICC Men’s ODI batting Rankings with a rating of 709.
