Temba Bavuma back, South Africa name 15-man squad for India Tests

Temba Bavuma will return to lead South Africa in the two-Test series against India starting November 14 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Proteas skipper, recovering from a left calf strain, replaces David Bedingham in the 15-member squad that drew 1-1 in Pakistan. Spinner Prenelan Subrayen has been dropped.

Bavuma last featured in the World Test Championship final against Australia in June. The second Test will be played at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati from November 22, marking the venue’s debut in the format.

The Proteas have included three frontline spinners in the squad with Keshav Maharaj leading the attack
