Legendary India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is looking forward to the Rohit Sharma vs Mohammad Amir battle in the upcoming India vs Pakistan game in the T20 World Cup 2024. Notably, the two teams are all set to lock horns against each other on Sunday, June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Ahead of the game, Yuvraj revealed the key battles he’s looking forward to seeing in the eagerly anticipated competition. The 2007 T20 World Cup winner expressed excitement about watching Pakistan speedster Mohammad Amir going up against India captain Rohit Sharma. The 42-year-old also stated that Virat Kohli vs Shaheen Afridi is another battle he’s looking forward to.

“I think we’re all moved by the emotion of the India-Pakistan game because we have a lot of history. Pakistan have got some really fiery bowlers. I think we got a stronger batting side. I’m definitely looking at Mohammed Amir vs Rohit because he likes to get the ball full and then Shaheen Afridi against Virat. I think these are going to be some big match ups. But at the end of the day, you have to use your mind. You have to play according to the situation and I feel the team which plays according to the situation and keeps the emotion back will definitely win this game,” said Yuvraj in a video released by ICC.

Notably, Amir has dismissed Rohit thrice in international cricket out of eight meetings. In ODIs, the India captain averages 43 against the Pak seamer with a strike rate of 60.6. However, in T20Is Amir has dominated Rohit dismissing him in both the meetings between the two players giving away just one run from seven balls.
