IPL 2024: BCCI reschedules two matches

Two matches of the ongoing IPL 2024 have been rescheduled, the BCCI announced in a statement on Tuesday. The two matches — Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals, have been rescheduled keeping the Ram Navami festivities in mind.

“The fixture between Kolkata Knight Riders & Rajasthan Royals, which was earlier scheduled to take place on April 17, 2024 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata will now be played a day prior on April 16, 2024,” the BCCI said in a statement.

“The Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad was earlier scheduled to host the match between Gujarat Titans & Delhi Capitals on April 16, 2024. The fixture will now be played on April 17, 2024,” the board added in the statement.

The IPL 2024 schedule itself was announced in two phases due to the tournament clashing with the General Elections. In the first phase, BCCI announced the schedule for just the first 21 matches and two weeks before revealing the full list of fixtures on 25 March.

The IPL 2024 league stage will continue till 19 May with the Eliminator 1 scheduled for 21 May and Eliminator on 22 May.
