Dilshan Madushanka will not further take part in the ongoing tour after suffering an injury during the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh.

Madushanka, who left the field during the second ODI while bowling, has suffered a left hamstring injury, as confirmed by an MRI scan.

The pacer was in stellar form for Sri Lanka in their last match against Bangladesh.

Madushanka was pivotal in scalping the wickets of the Bangladesh top-order, claiming both Litton Das and skipper Shanto, whilst also being involved in the dismissal of Soumya Sarkar with a catch.

The pacer bowled a clean spell of 6.4 overs, claiming his two wickets and conceding just 30 runs.

At the end of the day, it was none other than Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka who was the ultimate game-changer for his side’s victory in the bout.

Nissanka’s 114 in a national record 185-run stand for the fourth wicket with Charith Asalanka saved Sri Lanka from 43-3. Their partnership was key in overcoming Bangladesh’s 286-7 with 287-7 in 47.1 overs.
